Letter Content
The program itself is not being cut, only the technical theater class which would be a huge loss.
Losing Mrs. Powell, would take away basically all drama experience both inside the school, and any connections we have to the drama community outside of the school
If we have no teacher we have no class.
Losing Mrs. Powell, would take away basically all drama experience both inside the school, and any connections we have to the drama community outside of the school
If we have no teacher we have no class.
If we get a teacher with no drama experience it won't be a good program.
Mrs. Powell is the only person who can do this for our school.
We already have students running technical aspects, unlike most schools.
Sophie Stocker won the highest technical score at state this year.
Katie Dreessen and Peter Davies had a duet showcase last year at state as well.
Our tech hands have gotten honorable mentions at the 5th Ave. awards the last 2 years.
Mention Mrs. Powell as Kaite Powell-Mitchell, the district won't recognize her as Mrs. Powell
We won Gold Honor troupe, being the 3rd ranked in the state.
Our improv Team won 2nd in the Hogan Cup and 3rd place in the Jet City Open.
Try not to have letters all be the same, each should be tailored to the recipient.

Little Women Dance Day!!
Saturday March 23 9am-5pm
WHAT TO BRING
- Water in a CLOSED container (no open cups)
- Dance shoes (Bring comfortable shoes that you can dance in. Tennis shoes, flats, jazz shoes, ballet slippers, character shoes, all OK)
- Comfortable/movable clothes
- Actors playing women: bring a rehearsal skirt! If you have a long, flowing skirt or if you can find one in the costume shop and ASK PERMISSION to borrow it, that's great! Or you can head over to Goodwill or VV and purchase one for super cheap. I NEED my women to start practicing with them because it will be very difficult to start performing with skirts if you're not comfortable with them. Please make sure you have skirts especially for "Delighted" and "Delighted Reprise". Here are some examples of rehearsal skirts:
- FOOD! We're rehearsing all day, and unless you have a long break where you can go out to get food, please equip yourself with some snacks. Snacks have to be able to be eaten quietly, not make a mess, and not smell
- Scripts and a pencil
- Long-haired ppl please bring hair bands, hair ties, clips, whatever you need to keep your hair out of your face
- Something to do quietly while you're not working. Homework, reading, chromebooks are fine if they are not making noise
- Deodorant! Even if you put some on in the morning bring more just in case
